Unfortunately I cannot recommend this game because of technical issues.

I bought this game because I really liked Sword and Fairy 6&7 and someone mentioned this would be similar. I think the games have a similar setting, but the general vibes and gameplay are quite different. I liked the graphics and the characters are good looking. The story probably just only started, but I already in the first hours ran into technical issues. In one of the first chapters, you can run into a dead end if you take the wrong path, and I had to return to a save way before and replay an entire hour. Then later I ran into the "Network Connection" error which does not let you save the game.
You cannot play the game offline at all, and if the network connection fails, it is basically unplayable.
When you start the game, there is a Chinese popup - not translated - and you are obviously supposed to choose the 2nd choice if you do not live in China... Interestingly, saving worked for a while until it stopped working and when you change the server later on, all your save games are gone. That makes the game very frustrating for me, and in addition to the dull gameplay and story that didn´t really catch me early on, I cannot recommend the game at all.

Absolutely Amazing experience.

I have been looking at this game, for years now, be it on videos here and there, the trailers and the like and after i bit the bullet and got it on a sale, i Still refrained from starting a new pl, and i just don't know why. Im glad i finally did.

I wasn't ready for how..Grandiose and Big everything is. From locations to stakes, to levels to music..it's all so..Opulant and Majestic and it demands to be revered. I have to confess that here and there the story evaded me, maybe one too many tell and not show, or too many names, i can't quite spell it, but i got the gist of it and in the end i was left wanting to know more, from the Tragic character that is Whuzao to the camaraderie between {REDACTED} and Beiluo, to his budding romance? Whit the Dreamhaunt, to teh Explorers society..i wanted to know more!

This is a game Im sure i will be returning to and im Glad i played it. I played the game on hard and barring the very last fight, i felt like the combat was okay, a bit unresponsive buttons here and there or maybe im just not very good at it.

Anyways, cannot recommend it, enough - This feels like what a Chinese game company the played The Witcher3 did, if after playing that game they felt like doing something inspired by it, but with Chinese folklore at the forefront, instead.
