It's ok, but it's really not worth too much hype. I kept finding it on lists of hidden gems and heard it was the greatest non-Western RPG out there. It's decent, and not the level of mistranslated broken jank you usually see, but it really isn't good, either. Combat is shallow and repetitive, the RPG elements are minimal, the leveling system is unclear, and gameplay is unsatisfying. There's a whiplash level of cuts to random cutscenes that disrupt gameplay every 45 seconds making progression seem sluggish. Within the first 3 hours I was skipping combat encounters because they're so repetitive and there's no clear gain. After 4.5 hours I'm level 2 fighting level 7 enemies? Things just don't seem to make sense. Better games out there.
