Why does it not respond to people's expectations and questions? Is it that hard?

i can't even make nails how am i supposed to learn other items i go to the anvil with the hot ingot and it won't let me craft nails. any advice?

i have a quest where im supposed to deliver 4 weapons 2 small swords a large sword and a spear in 30 mins how am i suppose to deliver the weapons cant even carry more than one weapon
