Computer monitor visual bug (game-breaking)
Game seems to run at a very stable 60fps with everything maxed out on my system (RTX 2080, i7 4790k, 16GB RAM, Windows 7 64bit), but when I interact with the computer monitor in the main room, everything essentially goes black, with a horizon of white. I've seen someone say it's a required codec update that's necessary (KB968211), but I already have that installed. Here is someone else's video of the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sep2cF8GEk

Go to the RE2 trial version of the folder to find this file re2_config.ini

change this setting to the following: UseVendorExtention=Disable

Now RPD comp should be fine!

I have the same issue.

I had the same glitch. Switched to DX12 and the problem was solved.

It's a glitch. Btw, 2080 ti + 4790k. You are my hero.

No DX12 in W7, so that's not an option unfortunately, and everyone says DX11 gives way better performance anyway.

I have same problem this blows Im worried to preorder now

Same problem. When image quality was over 100%, it would stay stuck on the monitor screen with the subtitles forming over themselves but at 100% exactly, I'd get that weird black described in the OP. Won't let me switch off of DX11.

Yeah, I'm gonna hold off on preordering now because of this bug. That sucks, because it seems like it's gonna be great otherwise.

Fullscreen or bordless? Try both and tell if fix.

Problem persists in both fullscreen and borderless.

I hope they acknowledge this problem and address it in time for the full release, as it appears to be a pretty widespread issue, judging by the number of threads I'm seeing about it and responses to those threads.

Yeah, exactly. Everyone says DX11 performs WAY better, but it also has this essentially game breaking bug. Not a great look for an otherwise pretty impressive demo. Has me hesitant to buy the game not knowing if this will continue to be a problem.

I'm hesitant as well, not just because of the monitor bug but also the negative mouse acceleration. I can't stand that ♥♥♥♥.

That sucks. I played with a controller, but it seems between this and MHW (at least at launch), Capcom is really messing up mouse support.

I was wondering if i did something wrong in the settings or if there was some weird stuff going on with mouse acceleration. Mouse controls didn't feel too great imo.

Nothing is wrong with your settings. The mouse behaves like it does on Dead Space 3 (fast mouse movements = less in-game distance travelled, slow mouse movements = more in-game distance travelled).

Makes it impossible to use muscle memory to aim. You could be a pro CSGO player and never get a feel for this game's aim.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
