I’ve been playing Both MH and God Eater since the Psp and never liked MH combat. It felt too slow and clunky for me, this game on the othet hand has a more responsive and faster gameplay. I have no idea how this game is wildly unpopular.

Or is it better to just consider the franchise dead?

I got this game since it was like 6$ and I'm on rank 4 and I still dont get how weak points work. I know bringing the right element is really important in this game, but the enemies usually have only one weak point or take way less damage from my melee and take huge damage from my gun when both are exploiting the same elemental weakness . Is it as simple as some enemies are weaker to the guns than melee weapons or is it more complex than that? thanks in advance!...
