Just some little discussions, compare to Character companion like Dogmeat (FO4), Lydia (Skyrim), Garrus (ME) or another character companion games in that year, is Elizabeth a smart and useful Companion?

An hour in the game and I haven't even shot no one yet. All I do is walk around picking coins and bananas like a monkey. Is this game just a walking simulator or what?
