Could there be a sequel at some point? I suppose. It's hard to say "oh well multiplayer is meant as the continuation of the campaign", when Fenris is not a playable (or even a fully realized) faction within the game.
The campaign itself was fine for what it was, but I do find it slightly irksome to tease such a potentially epic campaign, when there are no guarantees it will be delivered. A shame too, as I was hoping we'd get to see Vesna enter the fray.
And I doubt at this stage they can present proper conclusion to the story, without plot holes and without it being rushed.
That's the key word - "Trying". One thing is to MAKE an unknown cliffhanger, and other - TRY to. And in my opinion, it ended up rather lackluster and at times confusing, and at times - just odd.
Simply having a story that ... *Snip~!*
