I loved GoT but hated Elden Ring. Thinking about this.
I don't like games that are really hard with zero navigation leaving me missing side activities and getting aggravated. This game looks good, it obviously has to be for all the awards it got, but I'm afraid I'll get another Elden Ring die until you learn the boss and win.

Sekiro has a very similar gameplay loop of tackling a boss or group of enemies repeatedly until you get it. More so than Elden Ring actually, since Sekiro isn't open world. Sekiro is easier to navigate, but there are still things you can miss if you zip through an area without paying attention.

I get you're trying to sound elite by saying "Elden Ring is not hard at all" but you are just incorrect.

Sekiro is all about timing your sword blocks, rather than Elden ring which is all about dodge rolling.

I've played DS2, DS3, Elden ring, and now Sekiro.

Sekiro is easily the hardest and least forgiving.

Yeah I'll stay away. It's not that I couldn't beat it. I know I could I just don't want the aggravation that comes with it. Looks cool though.
You really should try it out. I dont get the whole "aggrivation" part. It's a game. If you cant beat a boss, put it down, and try again a day or two after. This game is amazing, and not even giving it a try is pretty lame imo.
Just give it back after two hours, if your not made for the challenge...
Sekiro is a rhythm game and an above average one at that. It could have been a great game but Fromsoftware half bake every game they make, excluding Bloodborne. I would not recommend it to anyone because there are way better rhythm games out there than Sekiro. Also a lot of in depth mechanics of Sekiro are behind obscure skill trees for no reason that don't need to be there but this is Fromsoftware and they don't learn from there mistakes since the days of King's Field they've done this cryptic obscuring crap that just wastes peoples time. Yes that is another thing Fromsoftware design games that do not value your time. You will need to sink lots of hours to improve to understand how to complete the game that can take away the enjoyment because you just lost your own precious time.

Die until you learn the boss and win is exactly what you're gonna get.
Even the normal enemies are going to kick your ass until you learn to deflect like a pro which is a pain in the ass in my opinion.

It is a good game but at some point the combat becomes a bit stale. But it's still hard AF sometimes.
Not harder than other souls games but, different. Once you get the deflecting down it will become easier and all thats left is learning how the bosses move.

I personally don't like the combat too much but it feels fluid and thats satisfying. It basically comes down to deflect deflect deathblow done.
I like to stealth kill everything because i find it more interesting to find ways to get behind or on-top of enemies because i find the head-on combat a bit tedious.

Sekiro is harder than your average Fromsoft action RPG. You get no online help, it's all on you. This game is half Ninja Gaiden.
