How many games are there and can you play and understand without playing others?

Is there a mod that replaces the original sprites for the characters with the anime counterpart or similar? I just cant take this stuff seriously with the 90s deformed faces. I'm sorry I just cant. The giant tits are already enough to borderline break my suspension of disbelief but at least the story backs that up....

I'm on chapter 4 and still haven't received any achievements. I'm assuming that my achievements aren't unlocking because I installed the 18+ patch? I got all the achievements on extra and unlimited even though I had the patch installed. Not a big deal just wondering if that's the case....
