Looked at a bunch of different guides for installing the mod, but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do. Open xcom and open xcom extended didn't create a mod folder after running them. And the current version of the mod I downloaded dosen't have the installer so can't use that please help....

Let me ask you a question. I now have about 50 hours on my savegame and have encountered exactly 100 UFOs. I've smoked out a few bases, etc. Now it feels like everything has come to a bit of a standstill. I haven't been able to research for a while and I've always captured lots of living aliens after battles, but none of them can be interrogated. Is this normal, or do I have a research bug? By the way, I use “OpenXcom” to play. At the moment I have no option to research or rebuild alien submarines, but...

I enjoy the series but do we think firaxis would remake TFTD or turn it into a xcom 3 with underground lovecraftian horror monsters? Do ppl enjoy this game what about it is fun? Instead take the time to setup OpenXCOM which can use its data files to play it on modern systems, with bugfixes and high resolution support. this should be stickied as it is THE premiere way to play TFTD nowadays. I'm a fan of the original and openxcom is everything the original release should have been (research bugs fixed) and includes options that other mods have incorportated over the years. absolutley no reason not to play it this way!...
