This game was never on my radar until one of my irl friends who was involved in the production recommended I try it. Out of curiosity, I heeded his words and gave it the ol' college try.

My honest, unbiased review of this game is that it just isn't good. Like at all. It's trying to be realistic to the point where it becomes unrealistic, something that is hard to explain but you will know the feeling if you've encountered it before. The writing is trying and failing to be easy-going and colloquial and this results in it becoming aimless and boring. The attempts at comedy all fall flat. The romances run at such a break neck pace that they don't leave even a semblance of emotional impact. The H scenes aren't even hot! It has a very general vibe and due to this it doesn't have a proper niche. It's not well written or deeply impactful. It's neither high brow kino or trashy but satisfying. It's not a very specific genre nor does it have a unique plotline. There are no standout characters or interesting themes. It's not particularly romantic or erotic. It appeals to everyone and no one at the same time. A true failure of using its fairly unlimited story telling potential as a VN.

The voice acting is genuinely awful. Before you screech "WEEB" at me, no, it's got nothing to do with it being in English. The VAs (except Tamiko's and arguably Rin's) are just bad at conveying any semblance of character in their voices. There's even technical issues like one of them having a lisp and another being unable to emote or raise her voice (and no, it doesn't suit her character). They constantly mispronounce words, underact, and overall genuinely take me out of the experience. The art is nice and I have no complaints. Music is OK too.

Overall, this prequel does the opposite of hyping me up and I would not spend money on a full version of this.
