But 15k/20k and above? that's where it becomes a massive issue and it has to be addressed. I think that CS is the only game in existence of where people switch to a completely different MM service (FACEIT) just to play at a higher level
Cheaters every match in every mode.😘
It is mix of bad network code in CS, tickrate stuff and advancing high pingers.
Plus combination with server loads and internet package looses.
This all lead into bad behaivor, where players (when unlucky) receive damage when out of target and the oposit hiting while the player is already out of the target.
Replays look ofter wired, jumping cross and instant death on the other side.
Simply, if ping deviation >10ms, the players playing in different 'time zones'.
The higher the ping; the higher bonus by server. Exception until certain high ping, where the latency cause too much disadvantage.
The tickrate is used to resync the time zones, but advances the slower player by ignoring the faster player inputs on the other side.
I think valve need to rework the match making, to match players with equal pings +/- 5ms and increase the tickrates or adjust to average ping of the players.
Also improvement of protocols needed to lower impact of package loose and server overloads.
But not sure, package lose may also related to general internet traffic load problems these days.
It’s not that hard to get used to the AK-47’s "RNG"; with a bit of practice, you actually get the hang of it.
And 1000 other idiotic accuses.
At high ranks people at least have an idea how actual cheaters look like.
Watching higher ranked players play the game will open your eyes to how many cheaters are really in the game. I watch an EU streamer who's typically 24k and he gets a cheater 9 times out of 10. He gets lucky though with the fact that they're always russian bots who can't play the game even with cheats.
It's pretty obvious when someone is cheating if you've been playing for a while, there's a lot of factors at play and they tend to all go completely out the window when someone is cheating. Even if they're closet cheating their plays will be way too perfect to be reasonable.
Anyone denying the cheating problem in this game is either not skilled enough to get into lobbies with them (sub 15k premier or gnm in comp), hasn't done any research on cs cheats or is lying to your face and probably a cheater themselves (because we know cheaters get off to gas lighting people).
