Everyone one of my battles so far has taken until nightfall. It's not a valid tactic to draw away the cavalry, because I still have to destroy them to get a victory before night fall. It seems I just have to confront them directly with my infantry, which feels... inauthentic to actual ancient battles (I'm just imagining a lot of west and central asian battles were more day-after-day skirmishes). For the sake of the game, how do I finish them off?...

Any advice fighting against warbands? I have tried both Carthaginian and Roman campaigns and I am getting destroyed in the warband battles. The hoplite units just melt against them, even the 'veteran armored' hoplite often has worse odds and that is my elite unit? I have had no issues finishing some of the other campaigns but these warbands seem to be my nemesis....

Anyone here a Dacian army list expert? Not many options on the dacian armies but curious if there is a general strategy to using them against opponents with lots of cavalry. With only three max superior cav (carpi version) and a limited number of skirmishers, I find I can fight defensively relatively well for a period of time but ultimately get overwhelmed, or flanked. +25 for wearing a breastplate, a large shield and a helmet? What made hoplites special was their ability to absorb ranged attacks, because they had a big shield, torso armor (often, though not always), and a helmet. Phalangite, I could understand as having less armor, but +25 is still almost the bare minimum. +25 is more like if they were naked except for a small shield and helmet. Ridiculous....

I have to use the Win11 screen magnifier when I play games. Unfortunately, this game stops tracking the mouse cursor after hitting the Play Game button in the launcher. None of the in-game settings fix this. Any suggestions on what might fix this?
