It's such a bummer when cavalry can chase skirmishers across the map without forcing an engagement, killing off 5-10 men at a time. Essentially destroys cavalry's use as a skirmisher/archer deterrent.

Many other games, like Total War, have units with "stats" in melee attack/defence, morale, weapon skill etc. Do units in this game have something similar? What differentiates Roman heavy infantry from, say, Carthaginian heavy infantry otherwise?

I really enjoy battles here, but what actually sucks a lot is the OP skirmishers. Literally just a lost a 2 hour long battle very tightly because my cavalry wash chasing foot skirmishers across half of the battlefield with them always turning around firing a volley and then simply run away from each charge. Any chance they will bring better flags in like medieval game? I prefer to play with ancients but the flags in medieval are just so cool.

This isn't meant to be a jab at the game, I really like it. I've been trying to win some quick games against Romans as Nabateans, and on legatus difficulty it seems very close to insurmountable, which makes me wonder whether this is intended, or I'm doing something wrong....
