Mech-Commander 2 is one of my all-time favorites.

MC was fun, but some of the meta's were childish, like having to fix captured mechs, then jump around etc to raise pilot skills.

It is possible to get all of those games running on a modern PC.

That being said I know a lot of folks prefer to just click download and have the game work right away.

If they could patch the games to run right away, I’m sure they could make some money quick. Personally I like buying older games that I have on CD and add them to my Steam library. I know I’m not the only one.

yes under various emulators you could get them working.

Well... metas are more on the player rather than the game TBH. You can play a game while deliberately choosing not to use them.

you could Play MW4M , I suggest you start with this videolinked below, pls check the channel and watch all the relevant videos (the are some caveats) this is as good as it gets and last time I checked it was free, give it a go.
