It's really NOT a console game
Neither was Stellaris or Crusader kings......
(I've used both m+k computers & consoles for decades. I've long categorized games, in my head, into "computer" and "console" games. I honestly can't imagine playing this game with a controller. But, hey, I also can't see how anyone can play FPS's fast & accurate with a controller, yet they do. :D)
That being said I do not think this game will ever be ported to consoles because they finished work on it years ago.
-LMAO!!!!...no sorry, my bet is in a Battltech 2 in the future (or even a mech commander revival), done by someone that is not HBS, because they dont know how to make turn-based RPG fun.
Hey, no bashing the N64 controller, I loved it, and it's the only controller ever I had actually fun playing shooter games (Golden Eye, Duke, Doom) with. The way you actually moved with your right thumb on the 4 c-keys while the left-thumb aim-stick was perfectly aligned with the trigger, it just felt great.
And yeah, tried C&C back then as well, and it was horrid, but as you say, BT is turn-based, less units to control, and no group-select, should be no problem really with a controller.
But development is finished, the devs gone, the publisher and owner not interested, and porting it to console would definetly need quite some work, it's basically impossible.
I don't care if they are bad at turn-based RPGs (actually they aren't, >>Shadowrun), as long as they are good at turn-based Tactical games about big stompy robots.
And imho, they were good at that, they delivered a great game, and gave the community the mod tools to make it an epic one.
Well the RPG element in this game is so small as to be nothing. overall its a good turn based mech game
as for not making fun turn based tactical games you didnt play the Shadowrun games then?
as for the thread o/p dont be silly this is a 2018 release and the publisher has no interest in releasing this on any more platforms!.
