I have completed the trilogy and played Broken Sword + Syberia game series, these 3 were really great. Looking for some other titles to check in Adventure game genre, with voice acting (Steam or non-steam)

Today. I bought at a used game store the Limited Edition version of "Dreamfall: The Longest Journey" which came with "The Longest Journey", a soundtrack CD and (obviously) "Dreamfall". I tried installing both games on my Windows 11 PC using my external DVD drive. After installing both of them, I tested both to see if they could boot, and that's where things started to go wrong. I know it is old and I have had it for years -- just dove in again and am no longer able to exit -- the game locks up with a white box that entraps my mouse -anyone else run into this ?
