My computer is quite a bit above the listed recommended specs and the game at times has some terrible frame rate issues, projection doesn't change a thing, so perhaps it needs a way to lower some graphic settings, or the game needs to be optimized a tad better. My system: Ryzen 1700 (tried stock and OC'd to 4ghz) Radeon Fury X Kind of frustrating as there is zero VR titles I can't run on high settings with this rig with headroom to spare....
