Cant change resolution from 1920x1080, tried changing from windowed to fullscreen and tried changing "FPS" setting,VSync, anti-aliasing

I've got the rest of this level. I can get the shortcut button on my first try, I can get through that tiny gap between the two spikes with some frequency. But what I can't do is get that jump over the last spike. You know the one. The one that you wall jump and dash over. But I can never get enough lift. I've bashed my head against it for an hour now. Is there a mechanic that I'm missing, like a way to jump higher?...

I downloaded the game about a week ago, and it worked fine. Since the update yesterday I have encountered problems opening the game. On the first load screen (where you press X to begin), it minimises the game every time you try to continue. I have not found a way to then get into the game, even once I have maximised the screen again. Have tried restarting game/steam etc, so would appreciate any help. :)...
