We're sorry you feel that way - But somethings (such as remapping, for example) comes down to resources - We're a small team, so while we want to do any specific feature, we're not always able to prioritize it.
Having said that, there exists plenty of 3rd party software, that will let you remap keys for games - You could look into those, if you want to. I have not used any myself (as I havn't had the need), so I cannot say how well they work, but I am sure there are plenty of communities that know.

Thanks for a speedy reply.
If you think you would be comfortable with the key behavior I described above you should really give a go to this game. It is - in my opinion - one of the best "adventure/puzzle" game I ever played.
After over 2 decades of developers providing custom keybind capability, either through game UI or direct editing of .ini files, I don't understand why a few devs are suddenly disregarding a sizeable portion of the player population (although left handed players are a minority of the overall population obviously). It's neither hard nor time consuming for devs to provide the editable text file if they don't want to provide in-game UI.
We understand that left-handed people and people using different keyboards would like to rebind the controls, and it's on our to-do list.
But if you can't wait...
While we cannot support it officially, we're ok with providing the controls-file unencrypted for you to edit. It's called "defaultprofile.xml" and can be downloaded in it's unencrypted state for Aporia v1.1.0 here:
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=66250600801569675967
The file is only meant for developers and is not formatted to be user friendly. Additionally I should add that basic controller movement and camera (look) controls are not exposed in this file.
Once you've made your desired edits, it needs to replace the "defaultconfig.xml" inside AporiaData/GameData.pak/Libs/Config (navigate the .pak file and drag&drop the new .xml through winrar or 7zip).
Again, this is not supported officially, and we'll most likely not have time or resources to help you setup the controls, or repair your install should you render the game unplayable.
Make edits at your own risk!
Happy Editting!

great, thx :-)
Seriously, if you don't have the developer bandwidth to include a keymapping UI, fine, but encrypting the config file is going the extra mile to inconvenience players.
Yeah, you're right. It's still a pet peeve of mine and a dev of the game did use the word "unencrypted", but you're right that it effectively can't be encrypted.
Still annoying. Still don't like it. Still get to vote with my review.
Pause::Suspend
This will make it so the Pause key toggles whether AutoHotKey remapping is active without having to go to the system tray and disable/re-enable it. So if you have a game where you need to type something you can easily go back and forth between the re-bound keys and a normal keyboard.
And, of course you can substitute any key you want for your toggle. So you could use
NumpadSub::Suspend
Del::Suspend
F1::Suspend
or whatever.
Incredible, we are not all geniusses, some of the rest of the world are uncomfortable with manually editing files.
I click on buttons to pay and download this game, I would like to click on simple buttons to pick my own custom keys.
This game looked so good but now it's sitting on my small pile of games that will not let me change the key mappings.
What a let down.
