Recently restarted my in-depth guide after losing my data on my old PC and was almost done too; had very detailed maps and full equipment stat, skill and alchemy list. Doing the same with a much better set-up to see the game as I type. Though I am cheating to make this faster I have beaten the game legit before and after the update 100% and that's including secrets....

Is this more like Wizardry 7 and 8 and MMX in which it has towns you travel to and shops with some good equipment or quests taking you over the world? How is the character generation? Lots of choices? How is the character development? Lots of choices or do you just level up and the game allocates whatever for you like in jrpgs?...
