You can by using a tent.

That's why I always carry a tent. so I can save at any location. Though I have to say it's something that should have been in the base game. Making you pay extra just to save where you want is just sleazy.

As for paying to sleep, there's no way around that. It is cheaper to sleep in a tent than a lodge, but don't worry about the cost. If you keep playing you'll have more money than you can ever spend in-game. The payout for one coyote will pay for four nights of sleeping. And another option is to not sleep at all. There's no penalty for not sleeping and night hunting has it's advantages. That's why it's illegal most places irl.

Yes, because having to pay a duck's worth to sleep is the most important problem that they should be working on.

The cost for sleeping can increase if you spend less than 4 hrs hunting between rest periods. As far as saving the game whenever we want....Too easy for us to "acquire" a do-over if we screw up (you don't get those in real life). Above all, plan your hunt before you head out. Tents are really good things to have but remember that fast traveling to/from tents generates considerable noise (more than enough to spook animals within 150 meters) so position them with that in mind. Generally, I place tents to avoid long treks getting back to a location after getting "Knocked out" and returned to the nearest outpost. 4 hundred meters between fast travel locations is what I shoot for (tents, outposts). All lot of games make it a point to make resources scarce or time consuming to obtain ( including money). It's part of a games built in challenge. In this game, we have to pay when we sleep. That's not going to change.
Get used to it.

Wow Woody, it would seem impossible to cover a whole map that way. You must have to sacrifice some hotspots in order to accomplish that. I bet you wish there was no tent cap.

Since I restarted my game from scratch,( just got my moose call and HawkEdge now back), and considering the recent changes they made to respawning, I don't spend alot on tents and stands now. I always carry one of each, but there's no such thing as hotspots anymore. The Devs have pretty much out an end to that. They've redesigned it to be a walking chance encounter experience.

idk man. This is a design choice after all and basically not even a problem. If you play the game for a while you are so stocked up with money it does not even matter.

I have 400.000 cash and a lodge full of taxed animals.

If you have a problem with money you play the game wrong.

I was expecting you to adress bugs or anything but to complain about these things is bonkers imo.

The real problem is that on Emerald Coast the Pictures of Mount Matron and Battered Peak are switched in the Kodex. Fix it! :steammocking: Just having a cup of coffe and wanted to write something. :coffeeTLD: Have a wonderful Day fellow Hunters.

Why don't we talk about the serious bugs that make playing some maps almost impossible? Like the visibility bug (no bushes give cover)?
Or the bug where some grass gives you 2 red bars of sound?
Or some of the other 3287 bugs that are present for many YEARS!!! Every month new DLC's but no bug fixing!
