Waste of time. Play Kingdom: Two Crowns instead. That game is vastly improved and addictive.

Problems with this game:
- Archers stop hunting and collecting coin after few days and just stop generating income. Have to rely solely on farmers at that point. The travelling wanderer with the donkey also disappears so no income from there either.
- After building the ship, a builder starts to slowly drag it to some corner of the map (I have no idea where he is dragging it to) before you can board it. This process can take a few in-game days to do. I waited long enough and stopped caring and quit the game after several minutes of waiting. This isn't an issue in Kingdom: Two Crowns where the ship moves by itself a short distance before you can summon your minions and board it.
- First island is empty af. Didn't proceed with other islands due to the above frustration.

(Played on SteamDeck) Simple, pick up and go, fun. You start as a King on horseback, with a small coin purse. You control the coin purse and as such you determine who to dispense coins to accomplish your various tasks. Thats pretty much it. Toss coins to villagers (always with a hand out) and hire them to be builders, archers, etc. and begin to build your defenses.

Sounds boring - but the beauty comes in when you discover there’s a portal deep in the woods that every few nights, dispenses hell upon your encampment. Now you’re running around the forests during the day looking for more men to defend and build while managing their tasks carefully so as to make more coins back to continue building up your “Kingdom”. East wall getting breached every third Tuesday!? Hire more archers to defend it! More builders to repair it quickly. But keep in mind you’ve got no time to micromanage. You have to race the country side on horseback looking for more opportunity. Be that in found treasure to continue funding your goals, or hiring more peasants and assigning them duties. But don’t stray too far! And definitely don’t tire out your stead! Because once that portal gets to spitting out hades, it’s a mad dash back to the safety of your defenses praying and hoping your horse has enough stamina to race through the forest and back behind the safety of your walls and archers. Tire out your horse and the enemy spawned from the depths of hades will snatch your crown. No crown. No Kingdom and game over.

Think Fallout Shelter with a mix of Simon’s Quest. Simple side scroller with a lot of simple fun. Definitely recommend as a casual no stress (for some) game.
