decent graphics love the capmaign and love the refrences plusa i got this for like 8 dollars with every DLC so love this thing

i do love Aliens vs Predator (2011) still fantastic.
i didnt like colonial marines back in the day - Bought it back in the day and refunded it. (bug ridden, ai not working at all graphics are just fine but felt but outdated compared to avp 2011 but the atmo is just right! and the big....

BUT!

+ Bought it as complete collection in a sale couple of days ago and have a blast ever since! (after a i did rewatch the movies) (after 2020 there are more reviews positive than negative. That made it at least mixed, ...but dont let be mislead by a mixed review...) try that game.. and if you dislike it within 2 hours .. well just refund..
(you have to update the redist and restart after that its going to run well)

i am playing it out of the box on ultimate badass and its pure fun. soundtrack, foleys, lore, environments.. havent had that much fun for ages with a franchise game. they did fix a lot i think... there are still tweaks and stuff to make it more wholesome but i only updated the redist manually from the folder

Reasons to buy:
I do reccommend this game if you like aliens and want more colonial marines action.
Played DLC "Statis interrupted" first and played through ! And i do reccommend this strongly.!!! (without any spoilers but that made that game worth it...)
After that i was so hyped and did start with the main campaign and had still fun.
i went for the whole thing ultimate badass difficulty, and searching every level for every trinket and unlock available..

if you cant get enough of LV426...
if you cant get enough of Colonial Marines and want a more wholesome alien action experience...
if you want to revisit and experience locations from the movies, fight the xenos, use colonial marines equipment and machinery...
if you are able to see past minor issues and are strong willed to finish this game (so far mission 9 no complaints from me)
this is the game for you.

i think there are mods out there that even do even more but i sticked with the base game so far and have a lot to try out until this is going to be the next step!

Reasons not to buy:
Multiplayer is basically dead. REAL SHAME - becasue is actually fun, but you can get marine achievements and unlocks, perks and stuff by playing the campaign.

"All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the Corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I *love* the Corps!"

i do reccomend this game in a sale because the dlc singlehandedly made it so fun, that i had even more fun playing the campaign afterwards..


Would recommend to join Colonial Marines 8 out of 10

+ sounds, soundtrack, environments, weaponry and lore expansion, +coop missions, dont think too hard about stuff, enjoy the ride

In short, this game is amazing. The atmosphere is very tense, incredibly terrifying game, also fast paced, which I like about it. Reminds me of classic FPS games for some reason. Absolutely love it though, definitely a game worth checking out!!!
