You'll soon get used to it, and they won't grab you anymore. 🙂👍🏽

Yep, they’re annoying. The fact that they don’t have horns for you to break also sucks. Try using salt, then spam combos once their Ki runs out, it’s probably the easiest way to handle them.

easy strat, the elemental magic shots (fire shot, water shot,etc.) inflicts elemental statuses in 1 shot.
Shoot them with two different elements to easily inflict "Confused" status, Yokai stagger with every attack taken when in that state.

Use the same strat against Cyclops and Onryoki: block instead of dodge, and go behind them when their attack animation starts playing.

They really are one hell of an enemy, although I hate Tengus more; like, with a burning passion. 250 hours of gameplay and I still tremble at the sight of one. Long reach, hits like a freight train carrying freight trains, barely any window of attack for the player, quick attacks.
