Hello, Troubleshooters!, this is the Troubleshooter development team.

It’s already autumn in Korea! Time sure is fast, since our last news was published last summer.

Today, we’re here to show you our progress on developing “Troubleshooter: Banished Children”.

1. Rework on Characters from the Previous Game

In “Troubleshooter: Banished Children”, you can encounter some familiar figures, who left Valhalla to reach 『 Fortress of Suffering 』 from “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children”.

Those who will have the most influence over Kalter Mountains among the people who departed to the region will be 『 Spoonists 』, who caused much trouble in Valhalla, and 『 Hanged Crown 』, the PMC led by Ben, working for Edward.

In “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children”, we couldn’t capture the feeling of those characters in their concept art or 3D modelings, due to our lack of skills.

We will make them reappear in our sequel with better quality.

1-A, Spoonists

From the left, Carter, Turk, Naam, and Nevil.

Those are the key figures of Spoonists, who follow the teaching of 『 Spoonage 』 and take their journey to 『 The Land of Feast 』.

The Leader of the Cult, Carter, wants to shepherd his people safely by traveling via 『 Kalter Reservation 』, where the world superpowers and Valhalla can’t exert their influence.

Calling themselves 『 Pilgrims 』, they try not to menace the natives of Kalter, but the local population considers them a weird group who spread strange teachings of 『 Spoonage 』 while wearing masks and carrying spoons.

1-B, Hanged Crown

The Drifter Clowns, who worked in the underworld of Valhalla, is reborn as the infamous PMC 『 Hanged Crown 』 again.

While accumulating wealth by extorting the money of weaker criminal gangs in Valhalla, Ben accepted the offer of “Edward”, one of the higher-ups at Valhalla, and made their way to Kalter Mountains.

They are also the main culprits of the massacre of civilians in the Kalter Mountains after the World War.

Like what they did in “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children”, Hanged Crown will take the key role in the story of “Troubleshooter: Banished Children”.

During her journey, Ari will encounter them and face many events. We’ll do our best to present you with those interesting stories to unfold!

2. New BGM

Kazing of team SFA, who worked on many soundtracks on “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children” has decided to work with us again in “Troubleshooter: Banished Children”.

3. New Enemies and Factions

3-A, Coven

From left, Nana, Catherine, Rose, and Maya.

These are members of 『 Coven 』, the secret society active in Kalter Mountains All of them are ESP users, also referred to as 『 Witch 』.

Historically, they succeeded in the unique name of famous witches of the past, and they are still making many legends in the Kalter Mountains and throughout the continent.

Moreover, in Kalter Mountains, there are rumors of many treasures hidden inside the 『 Witch’s Shrine 』, where the witches irregularly gather.

Sandy

From left, Mikhail, Drew, Evelynn, Maverick, Mary

Sandy is a union of truckers based on the southern traversing route of Kalter Mountain, also called “Thousand Roads of Caravans”. Most of them are from the Sandrock Tribe.

They started as a small group of caravans but made it through 300 years. However, their operations are heavily damaged by recently increasing bandits.

Now they are fighting over how they’re going to solve this problem. Evelynn and her followers want to avoid unnecessary conflict by paying some bandits a ‘protection fee’, while Mikhail and his followers claim not to negotiate with bandits.

That's all the news we prepared today.

We will not stop developing the game so that we can give you a little more new news next time.

First of all, we sincerely thank everyone who supported us to continue developing Troubleshooter series.

In return for your constant support, we are spending all of our development resources on the development for sequel while correcting Abandoned Children's known bugs.

The Chuseok holiday, one of Korea's biggest holidays, will begin next week. Many people go to their hometowns and spend time with their families. The development team members will also spend the holidays with their families in their hometowns during this period.

During the holiday, the development team will rotate their Steam community work. However, the processing speed may be slower than usual. We apologize in advance for this.

As soon as the holiday period is over, everything will be done normally.

We hope all of our fans are well.

We are continuing our development of “Troubleshooter: Banished Children,” the sequel to “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children.”

This is happening because of your love and support. We cannot thank you more.

For today’s announcement, we’re sending you fresh news about the current development state of “Troubleshooter: Banished Children.”

1. About 3D Model Art Style in The Sequel

Many of our fans who enjoyed “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children” have shown disappointment about its 3D character model quality.

We were also aware of that feedback and tried to improve its quality while we were updating the game, but it didn’t go well due to our lack of skills.

To solve this problem, we are now trying to change the style of our 3D models.

Understanding our limits in development skills, we have looked through many options to attain the best result. We’re now taking reference to “Tales of Arise” from Bandai Namco, and trying to create our style of 3D graphics.

The reason why we adopted this kind of style was that we think this kind of style can capture the feelings of our original concept art. This new style of ours still has a lot more to improve.

But we’ll do our best to show you more charming art style than “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children.”

2. New Characters - Part 2

In our last announcement, we presented you the concept arts of 5 main characters.
The following are the other 5 of the 10 main characters who were unannounced from the last announcement.

[h4]Claudia[/h4]

Claudia Ende is 28 years 28-year-old apprentice from the Coven of Kalter Mountains.

15 years ago, at the age of 13, she embarked on her journey to be acknowledged as a proper witch of the coven. But after a year, she gave up the journey and made up her mind to live with Ari.

Over the years, Claudia has taken the role of Ari’s friend, sister, and sometimes mother while living beside her. She also decided to go together with Ari this time.

Her main weapon is a staff. Her basic class is “Shaman,” and her advanced class will be “Astrologian” and “Witch.”

[h4]Gravis[/h4]

Gravis Rockhammer is a 45-year-old man from the Blackmountain Tribe.

10 years ago, he was one of the most famous figures in the tribe, but one of his colleagues and his close friend betrayed him and framed him for a false accusation.

He claimed himself innocent, but the leaders of the tribe didn’t listen to him and banished him from the land of the tribe for 10 years.

Losing all hope, Gravis roamed around Kalter Mountain and suffered panic disorder because of the sense of betrayal. Looking for a quiet shelter, Gravis met Ari and Claudia and became their neighbor.

Later, Gravis solved many problems for Ari as her close friend and reliable neighbor. He also decided to accompany her journey this time.

His main weapon is a two-handed axe. His basic class is Axeman, and this advanced class will be “Warrior” and “Barbarian.”

[h4]Azul[/h4]

Azul Fisher is an 18-year-old man from the Starsong tribe.

As the bravest warrior and a skillful fisherman regardless of his young age, he is considered as a candidate for the next chieftain by younger tribesmen even though he has an explosive temper and lacks patience.

However, many elders of the tribe don’t think of him as reliable, since his characteristics cause many troubles.

Azul is aware of his bad reputation, but he keeps on overacting to show that he won’t submit to them.

His main weapon is a spear. His basic class is “Lancer,” and his advanced class will be “Dragoon” and “SpearMagician”.

[h4]Reed[/h4]

Reed Sheppard is a 25-year-old man from Kalter Frontier, who was born in Caras Union.

When he was young, his parents moved to Kalter Frontier with him after the war.

But when Kalter Mountains fell into anarchy after the Ater Empire lost its hold on the region, the mercenary corps also committed pillage and massacre, and he lost his parents along the way.

Later, the tribes of Kalter united against the mercs and banished them from the region, and during the process, a PMC called “The Golden Sand” took care of him.

He has become a proper member of the Golden Sand, and now is working as a pathfinder or a part-timer at the Riversand trading post.

His main weapon is a dagger. His basic class is “Thief,” and his advanced class will be “Rogue” and “Trickster.”

[h4]Lumi[/h4]

Lumi Headlock is a 23-year-old woman from the Blackmountain tribe.

Her father, Justin, worked as public security for the tribe. Through the influence of his father, Lumi became the leader of Blackmountain public security section 1 despite her young age and short career.

One can’t deny that her father’s reputation is the reason for her fast promotion, and that fact made many of her colleagues and tribesmen jealous.

Lumi is also aware of this, and now she’s doing her best to prove her worth and value to others.

Her main weapon is a sniper rifle. Her basic class is “Gunman,” and her advanced class will be “Marksman” and “Sniper”.

With these 5 new characters shown above and those 5 characters from the last announcement, we’re now developing 10 playable characters in total.

We’ll do our best to deliver their attractive story in “Troubleshooter: Banished Children”.

3. New Enemies and Factions

[h4]Blackmountain Committee for Future Development ( BCFD )[/h4]

Starting from the left, Enrique the chairman, and the Committee members-Sophia, Jamie, and Justin.

BCFD is a government organization located in the southeastern part of Kalter Mountain and committed to the mining industry.

5 years ago, it became obvious that the mines would be depleted in 10 years. So the Blackmountain tribe decided to abandon their traditional way of life and find a new one.

During the process, the BCFD took advantage of Kalter being a reservation zone in which the laws of superpowers cannot be applied and cooperated with the Gold Dragon Clan from East Alliance, starting a casino business on a large scale.

Through this effort, the Blackmountain tribe was able to bring in many other premier hotels and leisure facilities, thus making a lot of profit in a short period. However, unlike in the past, those profits were only for the little part of the tribe who had power.

Most of the tribesmen who don’t benefit from the casino business complained as the casino business harasses public order and makes more people addicted to gambling.

But Enrike and the other part of the committee are oppressing the people who have complaints like this by force in the name of ‘maintaining public order’.

[h4]Rose Brigade[/h4]

Starting from the left, Barron the Brigade commander, William, Theodore, Dominic, Jake, and Camille.

The remnants of The Rose Brigade, one of the most elite troops in the Ater Empire 20 years ago, who were active in the Garter region.

Every member is from the noble houses of the Ater Empire. They started their quest for the artifacts in the Kalter Mountains that the Emperors wanted so that they could be redeemed from the dishonor of losing the Garter region to enemies.

At the end of the war, their ranks were nearly one hundred, but now they are reduced to only 6. The residents of Kalter think that they are continuing their quest just because of their pride as the so-called nobles of the Empire.

Changed the Taunt debuff to be removed when an unit with the Taunt debuff gets Vindictive Spirit debuff.

Fixed a bug that Elite Test subject Tima had not been appeared.

Development status of the next work

Hello everyone, this is the Troubleshooter development team.

First, we deeply thank everyone who enjoyed Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children. Thanks to your love and support, we are now planning on our next title, Troubleshooter: Banished Children.

The sequel will be presented in the form of Early Access after 2 years of development. We apologize for presenting our sequel as Early Access even after a long development process despite many expectations from those who want to experience the sequel in its plain form as soon as possible.

Due to our lack of skill, the development process will take a long time, but we won’t stop doing our best to communicate with all our fans at all costs.

As a part of this effort, today we reveal some of our concept data for the sequel.

New Area ”Kalter Mountains”

Kalter Mountains is a region where located between the Iron Forest of Wind Wall District and the Fortress of Suffering.

This place is a demilitarized zone for the three world powers and is called the Kalter Reservation. Its residents are five tribes, with each of them named Frosthorn, Moonwolf, Starsong, Sandrock, and Blackmountain.

With this new setting, we wanted to present you with a new type of joyful experience while expanding the world of Troubleshooter.

New Characters

In Troubleshooter: Banished Children, there will be 10 main characters.

Each character has their own story, and their class will be inherited from the classes from Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children and will be adjusted. We aim to maintain the joy that an abundance of classes can present.

The following is the information about 5 of the 10 main characters.

Please note that these can be changed when the game is released.

Aurora

Her name is Aurora, but most of her friends call her Ari.

The story of her traveling through the Kalter Mountains will be the main plot of Troubleshooter: Banished Children.

Her main weapon is a bow and her basic class is Archer, and her advanced class will be Hunter and Bard.

Hannah

Her name is Hannah Redhorn. As a friend of the same age Ari, Hannah will act as another protagonist alongside Ari.

She is a member of the Frosthorn tribe who lives in the northern part of the Kalter Mountains. She is a brave, gregarious, just, and stubborn person.

Her main weapon is a one-handed axe and a shield. Her basic class is Shielder, and her advanced class will be Guardian and Highlander.

Yuri

His name is Yuri Leblanc. He’s the uncle of Binaca and as the Gold Spoon of the anti-government group Spoonist, he’s a dissident of security rank 『 Orichalcum 』.

Usually, he’s gregarious and generous, but his true nature is more calm and cynical. He’s traveling around the Kalter Mountains to find the other Spoonists led by Carter.

His main weapon is a bangle. His basic class is Mage, and his advanced class will be Black Mage and Red Mage.

Tyra

Her name is Tyra Goldsand. She’s a friend of Misty and a Troubleshooter of Vermilion, the Troubleshooter company that Rion made.

After hearing the news of her grandmother’s injury who is working as a sheriff at the Sandrock tribe in the Kalter mountains, Tyra took a vacation to revisit her hometown. She is an honest and diligent person but can be cynical sometimes. She is often misunderstood as a cold-hearted person due to those characteristics.

Her main weapon is a pistol. Her basic class is Gunslinger and her advanced class will be Bodyguard and Desperado.

Ryo

His name is Ryo Ryuzaki. He once served Kylie, the leader of the White Dragon Clan, and now he’s a Carp in the Game of Dragons held between the Nine Dragon Clan.

He headed to Kalter Mountains alone to fulfill the mission to be recognized as the Carp who represents the White Dragon Clan instead of Kylie.

His main weapon is a sword. His basic class is Swordsman, and his advanced will be Swordmaster and White Knight.

These 5 characters are the main characters that we made so far. We will reveal the information for other characters as soon as we finish them.

New enemies and factions

Frosthorn Tribe

A tribe that resides at the Highland of Frosthorn in the northern part of the Kalter mountains.

They used to raid other tribes and never refused to start a war but after the World War, they stopped being hostile to the other 4 tribes after forming the Kalter Alliance.

Due to the increasing population within the tribe and the ongoing cold weather that lasted for 3 years, Olaf, the new chieftain, decided to quit the alliance and return to their old traditions that relied on force and violence.

Gold Dragon Clan

One of the factions of the Nine Dragon Clan.

Its leader, Huang-YoungIn is also one of the High Commissioners of Valhalla. He wants to claim many interests in the Kalter Mountains that the superpowers have left untouched for a long time. With this, He wishes to become the Dragon by winning the Game of Dragons.

To fulfill his ambition, many members of the Gold Dragon Clan are sent across the Kalter Mountains and act on behalf of the clan.

Dark Moon

Dark Moon is a criminal group that is active in the underworld of Kalter Mountain and is considered a fearful faction across the region.

They are very dissatisfied with the situation that the 5 tribes rule over the region, and wish to change the situation by overthrowing each tribe’s system of power and thus starting the new era of Dark Moon.

New Beasts

Crocas

Crocas are the beasts that inhabit the Starsong Lake, the biggest lake in the region. Some of them have adapted to environments and are found in forests or even deserts.

Ummer

Ummers are the beasts that are widespread across the Kalter Mountains. Many hunting tribes teach how to hunt them to their young hunters. But watch out, careless hunters could be severely injured by Ummer’s powerful charge attack.

Zephygle

Zephygles are flying beasts that are easily found in the Sandrock desert, and tend to stay in the sky for most of the time. So if you want to hunt them, you must take the chance when they land.

Fogri

Don’t be fooled by their cute looks. Fogris are very hostile to strangers. Many outsiders who approach them without caution because of their cute looks have to face their anger and hurt badly.

Wag

Wags tend to form a passel and are famous for their strong appetite. They attack many villages and cause damage while seeking food, especially when their mating season begins in late summer.

Varg

Vargs are the apex predator of the Kalter Mountains. They are considered the strongest beasts in the Kalter Mountains.

with all these new beasts, you can also expect other beasts from “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children” like Tima, Yasha, Negoori, Dorori, Mungo, and Crabmit.

The team aims to finish working on the settings this summer and start developing the game in the second half of the year.

It will take a long time, but we will do our best to communicate well with you.

Update Details:

Added teams of Poachers, Red Mining District Gangster to the Joint Training.
Added a tab for drone to the Help. You can check the masteries that come with each OS.
Added a function that download the image from Gallery.
Added a filter to the Mission Control that sorts missions by their level.
Usage number of an ability and Availability number of an ability are going to be indicated separately.
- In case of Availability number of consumable items like grenade, it looks the same as it does now.
- In case of Wind Chain, Traps and etc, you can check the blue max usage number on its top right corner.
Fixed a bug that Emergency Rescue System was activated when a wielder was in a state of cannot move.
Fixed a bug that Pincer Movement, Jet Stream Attack and The Wrathful Vengeance were activated when a wielder was in cannot act.
