Hello friends,

Today I will review the game I AM SESUNA. Many people consider this game like Chrono Trigger. It is not like Chrono Trigger. It is like any other JRPG released on the SNES. Comparing it to one game from that system is not correct. It is more like a amalgamation of many games from the super Nintendo era, or for those friends from over seas, the super famicon. There are easter eggs in the game that are references to Chrono Trigger, but that is where the game ends. The game is your normal save the world from the bad guy JRPG.

The setting of the world is quite beautiful, but i wish the developers went into more lore about the world itself, since technically why it is so snowy everywhere. It has beautiful locations to explore, especially with the amazing piano music at each location. The music makes it special and is quite good. They are piano songs, but they sound very good on the places they play, from the main world map, to each area. There is no maps in the game, so no maps for dungeons, small areas, and even the world map. Personally, I find this disappointing that there is no world map to see the world in it's glory.


PROS:

- A JRPG similar to games from the Super Nitendo/Super Famicon Era.
- Beautiful piano music that makes location exploring that much more enjoyable.
- Many easter eggs refering to other JRPGS such as chrono trigger and secret of mana series.
- Post game quests to finish.
- Works with Windows 11 OS.
- Works with controllers.


CONS:

- No world maps or area maps. This makes looking around the world for certain locations very hard. Also, players may tend to get lost in dungeons due to some of them being mazes.
- Some grinding is required if players want to collect all the spiritnites. Some can only be collecting using certain moves on enemies.
- A certain enemy boss halfway thru the game may cause people to quit pre-maturely due to the difficulty curve associated with the boss. Alot of grinding maybe required to fight said enemy boss and to be able to beat it.
- A certain thing that happens late game is so late, it is considered useless and hard to use.
- I personally experienced graphical artifacts on my screen, such as screen tearing for instance.



Do I recommend this game? Yes, i do. Although it is not as good as Sea of Stars to me, i still found it fun to play. The story is nothing new and is very similar to other JRPG's stories. The interaction between the characters is nice, but the fact the lore of the world is not filled out is sad because the developer could of done this to make the game more immersive. The fact also the developer did not put maps in their games, as some of the dungeons are actual mazes, is a negative point as i feel this could be easily implemented in the game, but i am no game developer, so i am not sure what the developer was doing without a map system.
