I bought this because I enjoyed Baldur's Gate 3 a lot. The gameplay is similar and very fun. There is a little bit of a learning curve. In my first attempt I couldn't get out of Fort Joy because the game felt way too hard even on the easiest setting. Once I discovered it is *not* BG3, things got a lot easier.

Character stories are very good. I haven't finished the game but already I'm really into the characters. I just hope if/when DOS3 comes out, they combine the best bits of DOS2 and BG3 into one game. 🤞

Baldur's Gate 3 reintroduced me to turn based RPG's / CRPG's after decades away and ignited a new love for these games. I wondered after BG3 finding out Larian was done with it - "what now?"...I want a similar amazing experience. I picked up the DOS1/2 bundle and wow!!!! I absolutely love this incredible game. It's obviously older and lacks the cinematic cutscenes and camera work of BG3 but don't let that put you off. divinity Original Sin 2 is a joy to play and a real challenge, the feeling you get from destroying an unfairly difficult boss is amazing. In my opinion "classic" mode in DOS2 is harder than "Tactician" in BG3. Some of the fights are unfair and unbalanced but then you remember - the devs gave me teleport and surrounded us with lava so it's cannon that they die in 1 shot to lava and move on. I cannot wait to start DOS1 after I am done with 2 but I am having such a good time before even activating a single gift bag mod....it will be a few hundred hours more. If you are like me and considering DOS2 after Baldur's Gate 3 then go for it - I highly doubt you will regret it and if you do - it's an actual challenge to finish the game so consider it one and add it to the highly lauded games you 100 percented!! for me this game is a 9/10 only losing a point for some unfair fights and many of the NPC's just being mean for seemingly little reason.
