Why can't I delete previous saves? I have uninstalled this game completely, deleted the saves manually, and they always come back, stronger and more plentiful. How can I get a fresh start, or does that not exist?

I was surprised to see this, the developer works so hard on this game. Always fixing and updating.

Acquired the game a few days ago, just tried playing for the first time. When I run it, a window with a purple background appears, the notification about the steam overlay pops up and that's about it. No other progress and no visual or sound. I can still

I've tried every other key, and only Enter seems to do anything (which means I'm stuck cycling between "New Game" and "Back"). The mouse cursor disappears as soon as the game starts; I have no idea why this is occurring or how to fix it.
