1. Well, if you really have to, you can always use Cheat Engine and freeze the health value for player 1. But really, a better advice would be "GIT GUD". Or pick another character, as Archetype Earth isn't too beginner friendly.
2. Press Start (tab by default for player 1) on the Continue screen (with the countdown).
3. Is that Dust of Osiris? It's the final boss for most routes. Just go ham with jBC. For Archetype Earth, you may want to stick to ground combos since she's so damn slow in the air. Or you can try jumping really high (with super jump) and throwing some pillars of light. If you are pushed back, block the attacks on your way back to the body (ie defend first, then super jump after it hits your guard). If you see it raise its claw, defend against the AoE attack. If it uses its Arc Drive, try to shield when the screen goes white.
(19 for a forward super jump, 28 for a vertical one.)
2)To continue select the same character as the one you were playing before.. the character select menu is shown after u hit continue is so that you can change moon styles.
3)with skill
Q)why is the game so hard?
A) welcome to the genre known as Fighting games
here's your reply now go away
Thanks for the advice
This didn't work. If I press Tab or Start (360 gamepad), it goes back to character select screen. I want to try the same fight again without going back to beginning.
Also, the boss fight I'm doing is Archetype:Earth, since she is her own final boss (you play as Arcueid)
Pick the same character.
Set the game to the easiest difficulty, the AI will barely attack you. If you really can't beat the AI even on the lowest difficulty then you really REALLY need to get good at the game. The alternative is learn how to hack the game's variables via cheat engine to give you unlimited life but yeah... I don't think you want to go that far.
That sounds dumb and stupid.
Also about final boss - BLOCK ITS ATTACK. She have very simple patterns so after a while you will know exactly what she will going to do. Also when you pick same char after continue you will start where you left so its hardly any need for cheating in this game.
And about getting good - just play the game and eventualy you will get better - if even I was able to do it you will have no problem.
I refuse to believe you can't beat arcade on easiest difficulty.
Sorry man but... If you can't beat the easiest AI right now then you either get better at the game or simply quit and go play something else. It seems like you picked the wrong genre to begin with.
Alternatively you can play Street Fighter V. A 6 month old baby was able to beat the easiest AI there:

Original Poster @Talcon, I've said this before, Welcome to the Fighting game genre, Most people dont play this genre because of the very reason that it requires players to invest time in it to learn it. Its a genre where games are "hard to pick up but can be mastered" rather than the normal "easy to pick up & impossible to master".
So understand that you've entered the realm of a skill based game & thus either "GIT GUD" or be destroyed is the only option.
I do understand that you are here only for the lore & you must be a casual gamer which I can totaly respect, most people cannot invest time in video games because of life, but you cannot expect to casual your way through a fighting game.
And I see that you own Dark Souls(which is ironic).. Did you use cheats to beat that too? The beauty of dark souls is in its impossible difficulty, to fail a hundred times & still get back up & finally beat the challenge, the satisfaction of beating that impossible challenge is what makes dark souls so popular inspite of being a game which is much like a torture simulator. I dont see you doin that with the casual personality you are showing right now, You are pretty much destroying your own Expierience by the use of cheats. But its your life & your decision but creating threads like this & saying getting good sounds stupid is nonsensical.
It's Archetype:Earth's final boss, she keeps blocking. I have absolutely 0 interest in "getting good" or learning how to play. I'm here because it's a Nasuwork. If the game won't hand me victory on a silver platter with parsely on the side then I guess I'll have to watch it on YT. Oh well, at least I supported Type-Moon. Thanks anyways
