Azure Striker Gunvolt Update (Build 2767771)

・Fixed an issue where incorrect save data was being created incorrectly.

In the previous update (Build 2765014), after downloading the update, the game would generate faulty save data which would cause the game to crash.

This update (Build 2767771) was created to fix this issue.

However, users who have already downloaded the previous version (Build 2765014), updating to the latest version (Build 2767771) alone will not resolve the issue.

If you are still experiencing this issue in the latest version, please follow the steps below.

This procedure is only intended for users experiencing the issue caused by faulty save data created by Build 2765014.

WARNING: Do NOT follow these instructions if you are able to load your save data properly.

Unfortunately, to solve this problem, all save data must be re-initialized and old saves cannot be recovered.
We wish to sincerely apologize to those users who have been affected by this issue.


Users unable to load their save files after the Build 2765014 update, please follow the steps below.

"Instructions to restore game function after the generation of faulty save data"

First, confirm that the game is properly closed.

Step 1: Turn off cloud saves
In the Steam client's "Library" menu, right click on the "Azure Striker Gunvolt" item, then click "Properties."

Click on the "UPDATES" tab in the Properties window. Toward the bottom of the window, remove the check mark next to "Enable Steam Cloud syncronization for Azure Striker Gunvolt."
Cloud saves should now be off.

Step 2: Delete the faulty save data
Also in the Properties window, accessed from the Steam client's Library menu by right clicking on "Azure Striker Gunvolt", click on the "LOCAL FILES" tab.

In this window, click on the "BROWSE LOCAL FILES..." button.
The folder for "Azure Striker Gunvolt" should open. Open the "save" folder.
Delete the following 3 files: gv_config.ini, gv_save.bin, and gv_sys_save.bin.

Step 3: Uninstall the "Azure Striker Gunvolt" application
In the Steam client's Library menu, right click on the "Azure Striker Gunvolt" item, then click "Uninstall..."
Delete the application.

Step 4: Reinstall "Azure Striker Gunvolt"
Double click on "Azure Striker Gunvolt" in the Steam client while it is uninstalled to open the install window for the game.
Complete the installation.

Step 5: Create new save data
Open "Azure Striker Gunvolt" and proceed to the title screen.
Upon reaching the title screen, new save data will be created.
You can now exit the game.

Step 6: Re-enable cloud saves
In the Steam client's "Library" menu, right click on the "Azure Striker Gunvolt" item, then click "Properties."

Click on the "UPDATES" tab in the Properties window. Toward the bottom of the window, click the check box next to "Enable Steam Cloud syncronization for Azure Striker Gunvolt."
Cloud saves should now be on.

Step 7: Create a new cloud save
Play "Azure Striker Gunvolt" once again, and then close the program.
The save data you created in Step 5 will now overwrite the faulty save data in the cloud, completely removing all of the faulty save data.

Update Summary:

* Just like the Nintendo Switch version of "Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack", I made the action scene 60 FPS.
* As well as "Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack", the configuration of the top and bottom screens has been abolished and made into one screen. Also, Equipped with a system of "Kudos Style" mode.
* And various minor bugs etc have been fixed.

* Since the Christmas season is over, ended game mode "Christmas mode".

* A bug that was enabling players to stay in mid-air and not fall towards the ground during a mid-air jump if they held down the jump button has been fixed.

* Adjustments were made to Christmas Mode 2016 that allows the players to better acquire presents.

【Christmas Mode 2016 Details】

Winter has arrived in the world of Azure Striker Gunvolt once again, and the stages have Christmas presents raining from the sky! Shoot or zap the presents to open them up, and collect the various gifts that pop out from them. The chilling cold has frozen all the stages and made the floors very slippery too, so watch your footing as you take down enemies, collect presents, and make your way to the bosses!

Presents will rain down only during specific times throughout the stage, although they particularly rain down like crazy after you destory a Hexapyle. There are other instances where presents will rain down too. For example, when the last two digits of your score are the same number, it will release a whole bunch of presents. There are other things that trigger presents too though, so keep an eye out for them!

Your total amount of presents will be tallied after you complete the opening stage and the six boss stages (Merak, Jota, Viper, Carrera, Elise, and Stratos), so collect as many presents you can and get your name up on those leaderboards!

We also made a new Christmas BGM song that will make you feel all light and fluffy inside, so we tweaked the jump mechanics a bit to reflect this feeling too! We hope you enjoy the whole new feeling that mid-air battles will take on, and a lot more, in Christmas Mode 2016!
