How much % FPS increase expected? I was gaming on very old CPU, like q6600, and in Team Fortress 2 there was 20-25% increase (which I'm very grateful for).
But since I've changed CPU to Ryzen 5 2600 and see no issues in FPS rate anymore. Even this (pretty old too) CPU goes well with HL2 engine.
With the newer games I'm not so sure...
And another question - is it possible to use with Steam games only? I.e. no Fortnite etc.?
