As you may have heard by now, Valve/Steam broke quite a few things with their "New Profile Privacy Settings" as described here:

One of the things affected is how your "Played Time" is tracked/retrieved. This is a component used by CPUCores to give you those fun "25 Hours" achievements and such.
Right now we are waiting on Valve to fix the issue. Until then, you can resolve this by going into your profile and making this change:
Make that change, then start CPUCores. Give it a minute or so, then exit it. Then restart it. If you do that a couple times, you'll see your achievements show up. You can then change your profile back and leave it as private if you'd like, only needing to change it to get the achievements.
