ok, after many things, (3 uninstalls and reinstalls and updating drivers on my computer) the game launches again and the screen isnt white anymore; but now the game is crashing. Not honestly sure if I just need a computer with better specs at this point or what.

I had this issue. I went into the final fantasy directory and found the OpenGL.dll and change it to OpenGL.dll.bak (might be OpenGL32.dll).

Once I restarted the game this problem was fixed.

Apparently fixed it for a few people

Np these games run on old iPhones so I don’t think it’s really your computer

I eventually managed to fix it after going to that thread you posted...I wonder why this game feels almost unsupported.

Well they stopped supporting it full when the pixel remasters came sadly that’s what some businesses choose to do nowadays.

The pixel remasters are pretty great tho and they have way more reasonable achievements for 100%ers.

I’m glad you got it fixed tho, after I finish all the pixel remasters I plan on going back and finishing the 3D remakes of 3 4 and then the iOS 5 and 6 it’s gonna be quite a painful rng journey for me.
