Apartment 666 on Steam

I've completed the game, doing every action I believe was available to me, but after watching the credits and exiting the game no achievements unlocked.

I got to the end but still haven't got the final achievement. What is required please?

I'm interested, but honestly it looks a lot like Silent Night or any of the other basic PT clones. I'm holding out for Allison Road but didn't know if this was worth $10.

So yeah I'm stuck in this damn room, the newspaper won't activate the door to unlock and I've been sitting here for a good couple minutes walking back and forth trying to trigger it. Any tips or tricks you guys know to get it to open?
