Is this game dead?
Just like the title says, all I been seeing is maintenance posts from the devs, when was the last piece of new content etc?

2-3 months ago, there's a content patch roughly every 4 months that adds 1-2 new raids/instances, 2-3 maps and usually a level cap increase (but nowadays levels are fast)

The game is not dead, But the fact that it is still operating by this player base is questionable.

I may have only played for about 80 hours, but in that time, I have had zero interactions with anyone. Are there people playing? Yes. Are they active? Who knows.

The game is a graveyard that some players occasionally visit.
Anyone telling you that the game is not dead, are lying to themselves.
this is so sad...this had such a great potential to be ragnarok's successor...

BR incursion followed by god awful servers really did kill it before it even released, honestly.
Im shocked its still running.

The stats distribution turned me away, and I never feel this is anything related to Ragnarok, then the stats was fixed to class, which is clearly going the opposite direction of Ragnarok and become just a regular rpg game with nothing stands out except for the arts.
Many realized this game was mediocre (at best) after a few weeks of playing...and that was 8 years ago. To ask if this game was dead today implies that there was ever, at any point in the last 8 years, a healthy player base where a decline could be observed. Other than the dedicated few, this game was essentially DOA on release.

When this game was new it was pretty fun, I tried playing more recently and it didn't really feel like much of a game anymore.

They throw a lot of exp/gear at new players - which is overwhelming because you have a lot of management of skill points and such to figure out. You end up skipping a good chunk of the game so you can get to endgame content faster, but there's nothing to do when you get there because the few active guilds that do endgame content are not recruiting new players.

Unless you have some friends to play with, this will feel very much like a single player game, the only other players you'll see are people who afk in town 24/7. And you'll struggle to solo endgame content so good luck.

Pretty much everybody is recruiting and people will happily help you
I just figured the player base would be super low since I never really see any major updates for the game just maintenance patches.

Content comes out kinda slow, but they added 3 new endgame raids since september, there are patch notes on maintenance. They usually do a major patch with 1 or 2 contents every 4 months.
