How does Multiple Thermal Vents and Beam Laser Size work?
Returning player, got into engineering recently, but I don't see much information on how heat is dissipated when using Thermal Vent. What is the value that it is based on? The weapon generated heat becomes negative when hitting the target, so bigger means more dissipation?

Would I get a quicker venting process with 2 of them or not?

Heat dissipated is proportional to the heat that the weapon generates. So you want thermal vent on a laser that generate a lot of heat ; typically don't go efficient+TV. Instead go short range, long range, overcharged ; whatever suits your style.

Most efficient is short range, since it generates the most heat. But then, you have to stay close and not miss ;)

Most useful may probably be long range, since staying low heat at a distance ensures being very hard to target, against NPC's at least. Thargoid interceptor fighting builds usually include a long range thermal vented beam for that reason.

Having multiple thermal vent weapons increase heat dissipation afaik, but most of the time one is enough to make thermal management a non-issue.

Thank you!
My Corvette is all beam lasers with thermal vent. After a few seconds on target my temp is down to zero.

The only shame is you don't get the frosting effect on your canopy like you do when you cool down normally.
