Game crash (including Steam)

Well, the game will crash after couple of hours and might even take Steam with it. For whatever reason idle/clicker games have this issue quite a bit and makes "playing" them basically a chore

are drops time dependent? if so, then what is the drop period? on the store page it says that the drop chance is based on clicks, but it doesn't seem to be true.
