DEVLOG #9

Hey everyone!

Early Access prep is going full steam ahead! This week, I focused more on improving the player experience. I've spent the last few days working on key binding and controller support and it's finally in! You can now rebind your keys and play comfortably with a gamepad. Whether you’re on keyboard+mouse or using a controller, the game is ready to go. 🎮

I also made a bunch of small but important improvements:

🎥 Camera smoothing was making some players feel motion sick (totally understandable). You can now turn it off in the settings.

📦 Object placement now has visual indicators, and object angles align more accurately when placing them.

🧱 Fixed some overlapping/clipping issues during object placement.

🪨 Rocks will now only spawn within rented areas, no more randomly popping up outside your zones.

👥 Adjusted customer spawn timings ( you're no longer left waiting forever or getting overwhelmed.)

💰 Made major changes to the in-game economy. Resource balancing and pricing now feel more consistent and fair.

🐞 Thanks a ton for reporting bugs! I’ve fixed a lot of them already, and I’m keeping an eye on the rest.

⏱️ Barrel loading is now faster and smoother.

🔊 Made improvements to the audio. Things sound a bit more polished and punchy now.

⚙️ Optimization has been significantly improved. The game should now run smoother across a wider range of systems.

So yeah, it’s been a busy week! These tweaks might seem small, but they really add up and make the whole experience feel better. I’ll keep fine-tuning everything as we get closer to Early Access.

The Early Access release date for Fuel Harvest Together is finally set:
April 25, 2025

I'm really looking forward to sharing it with you. Right now I'm finishing up the last round of testing. Fixing things, making improvements, and if time allows, adding a few more features as well.

Development will continue throughout Early Access, and as always, I’ll keep posting devlogs to share the progress. Your feedback during this time will be incredibly important. What you enjoy, what feels off, and where you'd like to see the game go next will all help shape the future of Fuel Harvest.

Hey everyone!💚

Alongside the core system development, today I’ve added one of the most requested features to the game: store customization. In the Early Access version, you'll be able to paint your store's walls and floors with a variety of colors and patterns!

Just pick a color from the palette and apply it. you'll get real-time visual feedback, allowing you to shape the atmosphere of your space to match your personal taste.

With This System:
🎨 Express your own style with a wide range of color options.
⚡ See changes instantly with real-time preview.

This feature was added directly thanks to your feedback. I read every single message you send, and I try my best to reflect your ideas into the game. This will continue to be my approach throughout the entire development process.

🎯As Early Access evolves, more customization options will be introduced step by step, shaped by your input and creativity.

Swaying movement is horrible

I really don't like the swaying movement, it made my friend and I a little nauseous and we couldn't play for more than 5 mins. I like the concept of the game and it's features and was excited to try it, but I just can't play it with that strange movement...

Suggestions

Just a couple of suggestions. 1/ Turn the Brightness down on the Briefcase, it is hard to see what items are left to collect. 2/ Add the sound of Walking and Running. 3/ Waiting too long for the next customer to appear, the day is pretty much done when you have sold all your items. 4/ Key bindings. 5/ Able to clear the Rocks and Cacti from the front of the Warehouse. I like the concept of the game and look forward to continuing. good work.
