So far this hits everything that I want out of a SMT game.

I'm being 100% genuine when I say this that I am a long time fan of the series, and have played a good chunk of the titles going all the way back to the GameBoy and I am already enjoying this more than I did SMTVV.

Early gameplay review I might edit later:

This game is a love letter to early Persona/SMTgames with a small avatar on the world map, dungeon crawling in Japanese high school and recruiting monsters from all kinds of mythologies.

The controls with a controller have a bit of lag but it's not game breaking in a turn based JRPG at all.

Overall a good experience for its price point so far.

I haven’t played much yet, but wanted to leave a review to raise some visibility for this one. I’m loving it so far, very much reminds me of persona 1&2 and other dungeon crawler-y smt games. If you’re a fan of those, or similar dungeon crawlers, then this is definitely the game for you. The price is good, although I’m unsure yet how long the game is. If anything changes later on I’ll update my review, but as of now I definitely recommend the game.
