Development update for Version 0.05

Just some quick news on the upcoming game update. The newest boss (Feral Hierophant) that I'm working on needs a little more time in the oven, so I'll be delaying the update by about a week or so.

The next update will contain the new gardens stage and boss, as well as a bunch of bug fixes and QOL changes, thanks to all of the feedback I get from you all. You can check in on development in the pinned thread Here that I try to check in and update weekly. Probably the biggest change is the ability to revive when playing solo with NPC turned off.

(Suggestion) Start the Invasion Meter higher at the start of a run

Just another suggestion. I play mostly solo on Veteran difficulty the Invasion meter almost never passes level 4. I think it would be interesting if players could choose to start the Invasion Meter at a higher level from the start. Maybe even give us some extra skill points or other sort of bonus for setting it higher....

Game playing in slow motion

I play the game since the EA release it always felt slow, I thought it was part of the game that I had to "upgrade" my character to move and "punch" faster.. also I m use to Street of Rage 4 game / animation speed. I have been watching youtube videos today its my whole game that is slow : my character movement and attack AND the ennemies. Is there a command I could run to make the game animations run faster ? I have a 144hz screen btw I think I chose 60 fps in the options if it can help....

A few more small fixes before the mid-March update.

Bug Fixes

Autofix for older saves that had bugged quest progress for Loawnea.
Fixed bug that miscalculated hitstun while juggling targets.
Fixed stun affliction temporary invulnerability after high scaling combos.
Fixed crash that occurs when reflecting an attack from a target that has died.
Fixed bug causing First Aid items to apply healing multiple times for a single use.
Fixed pangen collection display for the 3rd variant.
Fixed evade enemy attacks skill trial progression.

How the HECK do you deal with Mara'lenna?!

Okay, I have been ADORING this game. One of the best beat 'em ups I've ever played and I have played a LOT. ...and then Mara'lenna happened. This boss is NOT okay and absolutely needs to be reworked. I can plow through her entire stage but once I get to her? It's over. I've never felt so helpless against a boss in a game. Simply put she has armor that REQUIRES the player to parry. She's a parry challenge. Immediately I hate this. Never liked forced parry encounters, but Mara'lenna is special because she...

favorite/least favorite spell orbs

What do you guys find yourself using the most? I tried the Legendary versions and so far the "multispell" bonus seems insane, I really like it for the Dark Blades orb. As for least favorite, probably healing. Maybe the group heal would make a bigger difference in couch co-op but generally I feel like the best defense is a good offense. Also the trap spells (electric web, poison familiar) seem hard to use well in a chaotic melee....
