Hey Hard Hats!

We’ve just pushed out v0.18.0, and this update brings some solid improvements and a few fun additions. Employees are a little less chaotic (for now), competitive scoring is fixed, and we’ve smoothed out a bunch of quirks with customers, furniture, and multiplayer interactions.

Here’s what’s new:

• Employees will no longer cause chaos in your store and throw boxes on the floor if they have a warehouse shelf they can put their box on! In future updates this may change if they're upset though...

• Added a price display at the top, so you can keep track of what prices your competitors are using!

• Added a placeable lamp that you can use to light up your store. Will turn on/off when you use your light switch.

• Fixed an issue where the leaderboard at the end of the day was giving the same amount of reward to everyone, regardless of their scoring.
• Fixed an issue where other players could change the sections of your shelves to their own.

• Fixed an issue where a customer deciding what to do, would choose two things at once, and become confused.
• Fixed an issue where customers would more often than not leave a review for how long they waited in a queue.
• Resolved issues where a customer queueing wouldn't progress due to the customer in front of them being affected.

• Resolved an issue where employees holding a box at the end of the day, wouldn't drop it when the day changed, causing the box to stay stuck in the air.
• Fixed stability of employees – sometimes they were jittering around the place.

• Fixed issue where customers buying coffee would sometimes get stuck in queue.
• Fixed issue where clients (not hosts) couldn't move their vending machines and they would get stuck.
• Fixed issue where clients (not hosts) couldn't move their placed trash cans.

• Updated sizing of box beam to reflect 'L' as a large item. We'll revisit this when we do an overhaul of shelving types.

• Fixed issue where moving a shelf would cause items to be lost in multiplayer.

• Fixed an issue where all furniture was being saved as if it was the host's furniture and not the person who placed it.
• Fixed an issue where clients couldn't pick up boxes from warehouse shelf.
• Fixed an issue where clients moving a warehouse shelf would lose all their items.
• Fixed an issue where clients repackaging items wouldn't remove the item from the world.

• Fixed an issue where a new day occurred causing the wrong customers to disappear.
• Fixed an issue when loading saves that would cause an infinite loading screen to appear.
• Fixed an issue when upgrading the warehouse space that the customers' pathfinding wouldn't update.
• Fixed bug where certain furniture items weren't affecting customers' pathfinding.

We’re already cooking up our first content patch, arriving in just a couple days — expect clothing, store furniture, and more ways to personalize your retail empire! 🧢🪑✨

• Added player names above players' heads so you can identify who's who without needing to buy clothes!
• Added a small ledge/ramp on the back of the delivery truck to help players get inside the truck.
• Added lighting inside of the clothing & barber store, so at night time & rainy days you're able to style yourself and see what you're doing!
• Added some full body clothing items to celebrate our launch... Feel free to run around as a hotdog!

• Fixed the base market price for 'Aloe Vera Plant' — in some cases on day 1 this would be lower than the cost you purchased the items at.
• Fixed the base market price for 'Ratchets'.

• Resolved issue where certain environment sound effects weren't responding to the 'SFX' slider.

• Fixed an issue when saving games in multiplayer after players had disconnected, resulting in errors when restarting the game. We still recommend that you join with all players in the lobby before starting the game as we continue to dig into any other multiplayer issues.
• Fixed an issue when players' haircuts/clothes weren't saving & loading between saves.

• Customers kicked when checking out (or using vending machine) would cause issues in the checkout experience. We've temporarily removed the ability to kick customers when checking out, whilst we come up with a more sustainable fix.
• Updated player names so that they don't show with a weird number afterwards.
• Miscellaneous stability improvements from bugs reported in our Discord.

• Reverted to showing Arabic numerals in Chinese languages.
