Hey, Avelyn

The problem of stuttering or freezing in AC1 is a known issue.
You can resolve it by switching the Ubisoft Connect app to the offline mode.

In the new app, you can do it on the login screen (you may have to log out first) in Settings > Start Ubisoft Connect in Offline Mode.

Hope it helps.

Let us know if you have any further questions

Thank you, but I have problems with AC2, not AC1 :)

Apologies, for the mistake, Avelyn

Please try the same workaround as a test first. It may be the same issue.
Do you use an RTX 40xx series GPU?

Thank you for your response: No, I am using RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB RAM.

Thanks, Avelyn

There was an issue with 40xx series and drivers for them, that caused flickering, that's why I asked.
Did you try the offline mode in Ubisoft Connect? Did it help?

No, offline mode didnt help unfortunately :( I instead used and XBOX Series X version of the game, which runs fine. But I would still like to play AC2 on my steam in the future.
If it's anything like Brotherhood, you might also disable the Steam overlay in that game. Or was it Revelations...? one of those two games, the solution to the glitching screen was to disable the Steam Overlay - to try this, you would right click the game in your library, and it should be under the "General" tab - which is probably the first one.

Thanks, Alpha-methyl.
@Avelyn, Xbox version still uses the same original hardware and software it was released for. With PCs and new hardware, drivers, Windows, there are always risks of issues with old games. They the overlay disable if you come back to the PC version.

Thank you, Avelyn.

What is the FPS you are getting? If it's more that 60, try limiting the game to 60FPS only. You can do it in Nvidia Control Panel settings.

I did it, as you suggest, still no change :(

Sorry to hear it, Avelyn.

I'll try reproducing this issue and come back to this topic.
Meanwhile, if you don't mind, can you record a short video of this issue and upload it any video hosting service we would be able to see?
