After doors open through body split trick there is purple crystal that suggest 'touch the crystal' tip but pressing E only play door handle sound effect and nothing happens - am I missing something?

So, I've reached the Overseer boss fight, and I've worked out enough to uncover the two green power sources, but not what to do with them (I'll take any hints anybody wants to throw my way!). I decided to see if messing with the yellow power source would do anything instead, so I start the fight, send a clone with a shield into the damage field, wait for the Overseer to stomp it flat... and the game crashes to desktop, every time. If that's for, erm, "story related" reasons, great, otherwise something's ...

Neat game so far, but I can only run it in windowed mode at 1920x1080. If I run it at anything else I can't see the character on the screen.

What would it take to have the ability to play this game with something other than controller only?

im stuck in the room with the empty broken tank, where that "hopefully friendly" thing got out. any tips guys?
