No está mal pero le falta pulir varios detalles. El mapa es tedioso de navegar y no tuvieron en cuenta lo roto que están los poderes cerca del final del juego, cosa que podés saltearte todo como una pavada. Desbalanceado y medio molesto, no dan ganas de pasarlo al 100%... pero que se yo, tiene altos niveles de producción, el pixel-art es precioso y las waifus ayudan. La música podría ser mejor pero los perdonamos, se puede jugar bien y está copado para pasárselo una vez y nunca más.

Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark, is a fully fledged metroidvania compared to the first Gal Guardians game. Like the first game, the awful music is still here, the terrible level design is still here, and hell, pretty much of all the enemies are still here too.

The great character designs can't save this game. It's plagued by an awful fast travel system, forced returns to to the hub zone for progression, levels that feel awful to traverse even with Metroid's super dash. Very few different kind of subweapons, and each character even has an innate mechanic that doesn't feel very good to use in combat (the shotgun and whip charge). Levels are bland, with few landmarks or points of interest. The game even has separate castle zones which they could kept as labyrinth areas instead of forcing them into the rest of the overworld. This game doesn't quite hit the level of "bad", but it's very close, and definitely isn't worth the asking price.

It's crazy to say, but it almost feels like this game was rushed out, for what purpose, I have no idea.

edit: Couple of other annoying things: Inventory management sucks, you have to discard things one by one, can't sell extra stuff, there's no minimap, only a map overlay that blocks efficient navigation, and the game doesn't even show you which relics you have equipped (It shows the icons, which are basically indistinguishable, but there's no [e] next to them)

It's a very good game, but there's a few flaws. Even after the patches, some button prompts aren't in the menus, mainly for the map.

In terms of gameplay, it's very good, but the abilities could've been handled better, and there should've been much less of the extra jumps. By the end of the game it's like +5 jumps.

Aside from that, the exploration is handled very well. A lot of people are complaining about lack of save points/fast travel points, but the only area where I felt that was a problem was the Dead Sea, because it was a huge maze.

The lang thing I'll really complain about is the Maxim Bone collecting. When hunting for the panties and students in the first game, you basically had to make a map of everywhere you've been, which made it hard to figure out where you were missing something. It's basically identical here, and I think that could be improved by adding a tracker on the map. It should show how many bones you've collected for an area (12/16) and whether or not you've been in a room where you've missed bones (represented by a bone on that room). It'd be great if this were added in a patch, but I don't really expect it to happen.

Final Words: I really enjoyed the game, and I hope we get a second game mode where we get to play as Shinobu and Maya.
