Is it possible to change alignment in this game?

I've tried so many different builds, but none of them work and I don't really know how to overcome this. I was using a Level 50 Lord with the best equipment I could muster and still I get annihilated, is there something I'm doing wrong?

I ran into a bug earlier which caused a softlock in battle. After inputting the commands for every available character it got stuck, seemingly waiting for the bottom-most character to move forward and take an input (which couldn't happen because they were paralyzed). If I remember correctly the exact sequence of event was: - I get into and win a fight where one of my characters gets paralyzed. - I get into another fight and take a turn normally. - One of my characters dies. - I try to take another turn an...
