This game has a tight but dreamy narrative that is enhanced across the board by the aesthetics of its UI and excellent sound work. The production is fantastic, it feels like this was made by someone who loves games and put in the work to make one that is complete. I have a very low threshold for horror but I’m so glad I gave this a shot, it was worth it! It Paints Me is full of dread but not dreadful; it is beautiful, spooky, sad, and compelling.
