Surprisingly philosophical questions are revealing themselves in "It Paints Me": a short, yet deeply emotional game that immerses you in the love lives of two Victorian lovers.
Accompanied by sentimental piano notes and spiritual voices that provide the first clues to the nature of the story, it gradually reveals tragic fates and thrilling impressions. With its vague descriptions of the environment but detailed character descriptions, this game manages to captivate you rather quickly without its crude and honest art style hindering your imagination.

The predictable but yet very welcoming themes only arise at the point where truth is defaced, now the mood starts to shifts purposefully and continuously.
Ultimately you take control of the course through simple but important decisions, giving a well rounded conclusion to the buildup through its different endings.

Since it's free, I can recommend the game based on its originality alone, as long as the sometimes exaggerated stylistic motifs of gore don't bother you. It is a very solid and honest experience with a clear goal in mind, however since the presented tropes are my favorite in media I must admit to being biased.

A short gothic romance, an haunting story that can get you extremely invested in a very short time.
The art is amazing and really elevate the whole game on another level.
The only thing that felt weak is the voice acting. While it's surprising that there is voice acting at all in a free visual novel, both of the voice actors sounded stiff and unnatural in the beginning, but the performance skyrocketed during the endings.
