Toushin Gent Release!

Hello friends and fans. It's Toushin Gent's launch!

We will be keeping an eye on things for a while after launch, so we encourage everyone to leave their thoughts in a review, and to post any bugs they run into.
For those reading this who wish to upgrade their saves from the demo version:
1. Go to local files for the demo, copy the save files you wish to copy from "DemoSave"
2. Paste those into the "Save" folder in the local files of the full game
3. Launch the game and the saves will be upgraded (The new saves won't be recognized if you try to copy them over while the game is running)

Controller/steam deck compatibility?

I just bought the game off of my wishlist now that it's launched, and the store page says "partial controller support". I'm no stranger to having to use an unorthodox control scheme, but for this game I've tried using my steam deck and a controller and I can't even get past the title screen with either one. Is there really not any controller support and I should just give up, or am I doing something wrong? No controller input seems to get through the title screen or select any options on the main menu....

Toushin Gent release to be delayed to March

The release date of Toushin Gent will be delayed from January 2025 to March 2025.

We apologize to our numerous fans which may have been looking forward to playing Toushin Gent in January, but we would not have been able to release the game as-is with confidence that it would be a complete realization of the experience we had planned and promised to deliver.

This delay will give us the time needed to complete all planned content without rushing things, and to ensure that the game is fully tested.
There will be no further delays, and the specific release date will be made visible by the end of February.

I'm not sure what to think about this game,
It feels like they've introduced 2 dozen characters with personalities and backstories in the first area alone. The game moves at a fast pace and even though I'm enjoying the story so far, I'm worried it might become overwhelming.

Continuing playing for now, but cautious.

Edit: After playing more, my fears were unfounded, I love the deeper floors of the dungeon and am really digging the main love interest.

Its alright, if you like old school pc-98 style games with all the jank and questionable choices that came with that era, then this game will definitely appeal to you. Musics solid and the clashing art styles add to the already absurdest comedy of the game well. Overall 7/10 experience so far, but its hard to say for sure with this just being my initial 2.5 hours and still being in the first parts of the game.
