Thank you all for the support this week, It's been great seeing people start to get into the game and pulling off some crazy lines. We're full focus on bug fixing and improvements, as well as some key UI and UX changes, so expect multiple updates this coming week!

Here's what's changed, and what we're still looking into:

[INPUT-LAG] We're still trying to get into the bottom of what's causing the input lag for some users. This is not the expected behaviour, and is different from the action queueing in the game.

[BUG] Frame limiter added but noticing some problems with it, we're looking into that now, should be fixed properly for next update!

[FIX] [CRASH] We've fixed some more crashes from multiplayer and tutorial functionality. If you're experiencing some more crashes drop a message in the discord to let us know when you're getting them so we can fix!

[FIX] Controller type detection. Previously the game was picking up all controllers as an Xbox controller. PlayStation controllers should now be properly detected and show the correct glyphs.

[FIX] Mouse and Keyboard flick detection. M+K controls are still very WIP and subject to change as our focus has really been on controller! Expect more M+K improvements and control tweaks this week!

[FIX] Tuck on mouse and keyboard causing reset.

[FIX] Fixed Tutorial objectives not properly being registered as completed, as well as controller hints showing the correct hint for the active objective.

[FIX] Bunch of other stuff, losing track at this point lol

[IMPROVEMENT] [TUTORIAL] Simplified tutorial. The current tutorial has had some stages removed to be more friendly for new players. We're working on a fully modular and comprehensive tutorial with multiple sections and stages (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced etc) that players can go through at their own pace. This was unfortunately was not ready for EA launch but will be added in the coming weeks.

[IMPROVEMENT] [UX] Quit from the pause menu and leave from the online menu now returns you to the main menu. Quitting from the main menu will exit the game. Now you can quit multiplayer sessions, the tutorial or replay the tutorial without restarting your game.

[IMPROVEMENT] [LOCOMOTION] Improved locomotion, especially starts. Character rotation now turns to desired input direction faster and more reliably, as well as having less jank due to not switching between walk and run smoothly.

[IMPROVEMENT] [LOCOMOTION] Turn in place on quick flicks of the Left thumb-stick work a lot better now. A turn in place can be interrupted by another one now too, which allows for more control and responsive turn in place inputs.

[IMPROVEMENT] [PARKOUR] Improved distance sync/match for jumping onto objects. Should revert less to a wallpop.

[IMPROVEMENT] [PARKOUR] Double Kong is now also triggered when inputting another Catpass before taking off in your current, as well as on a double flick. Should make them more consistent to perform whilst we improve the double flick detection!

[IMPROVEMENT] Precision mode active feedback

[IMPROVEMENTS] Host of other tweaks and improvements to gameplay and tutorial.

First off, we just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has jumped into Early Access and supported us so far! Your feedback has been essential, and we truly appreciate you being part of this journey with us.

We are aware that some of you have run into issues, having identified several key problems affecting playability and are working hard to get them fixed. A patched version is already live, and we’ll keep rolling out updates until everything runs smoothly.

It would help us tremendously if you could join our Discord server[discord.gg] to share feedback, get help, and connect with an awesome group of players and moderators who are always happy to assist!


We’re currently working on fixing and addressing the following issues:

[INPUT-LAG] We are having reports of some anomalies in registering inputs, it looks like in some configurations, the controller input is lagged by about 1/3 of a second. Some players are experiencing this issue while some others seem to be fine, we are going to add a separate report for this very crucial issue and try to resolve it with the help of our community, if you are impacted by the input lag bug please join us on Discord[discord.gg] and provide us with as much information as possible.

[CRASH] INVESTIGATING: Multiplayer sessions hard crash on joining. We think we have got most of the crashes but will still monitoring and analysing. Please report any crashes related to joining multiplayer lobbies if they still occur.

[CRASH] FIX: Some challenges (yellow STORROR S on the ground) were ill configured, generating an exception.

[CRASH] FIX: Joining tutorial in multiplayer due to incorrect ownership.

[FIX] Climbs not properly clearing action queue.

[FIX] Fixed jump into wall and bail when close.

[FIX] Clear power input on global action cooldown.

[FIX] Disable quick menu in tutorial.

[FIX] Tic-Tac not working on some walls, and on mouse and keyboard.

[FIX] Descents for mouse and keyboard.

[FIX] Restart tutorial from menu upon completion.

[FIX] Slow-mo triggered, change character on tap, increased XY launch on laches.

[FIX] Tutorial objectives not registering.

[IMPROVEMENT] Easier to follow tutorial.

[IMPROVEMENT] More dialed-in lache launches.

[IMPROVEMENT] More customisable gameplay params -> Camera lag - x and y sensitivity - action queue time.

[IMPROVEMENT] Improved multiplayer lobby searched and fixes.

[IMPROVEMENT] Faster action triggered after landing.

[IMPROVEMENT] [INVESTIGATING] Steam input system recognises Playstation controllers as xbox emulated controllers, showing wrong icons for face buttons. We are going to fix this by having a manual override where you can specify what controller you are using.
